How does Elker recycle?

We strive to use the best technology available and minimize impacts on environment in all our operations.

Elker collects WEEE from over 400 household reception points along with the reception points addressed to business products and companies. WEEE is processed and packed to achieve optimally effective transport as close as possible to the place of origin of the waste.

Elker works in tight partnership with 19 processors around Finland. All WEEE returned to Elker's reception points is processed mainly in Finland.

We require that the processors adhere to a standardised quality system e.g. ISO 14001 environmental system so that we can be sure of the quality of the operations. The operation complies with, and even surpasses the requirements of, laws and regulations and is cost-effective at the same time.
